Most Expensive Suburb in Wyoming: None
With such small populations -- the largest city in Wyoming is Cheyenne, with a population of 53,000 -- it is difficult to find a suburb that is more affluent than the city. "We don't have big enough cities to have suburbs," says Brittney Korte at Cheyenne's #1 Properties. Wyoming is no stranger to expensive towns, however, since it encompasses the ski resort of Jackson Hole. The town reports that the median home price in February 2010 was $749,000. That's significantly higher than the Cheyenne suburb that popped up in our data, Ranchettes, with a median home price of $271,500. As in Montana, Wyoming's most expensive properties are ski chalets, city houses, and land.
