The Whitney Museum of American Art turned a former bus depot into a colorful party space for its fall gala on Wednesday.
Calvin Tomkins, writer and honoree of the Whitney's gala, with Cristina Donnelly, great granddaughter of Gerald and Sarah Murphy, left, and his wife, Dodie Kazanjian, director of Gallery Met. Tomkins is the author of a memoir about the Murphys, "Living Well Is The Best Revenge," which guests received as a parting gift. -- Amanda Gordon
