New York's Iconic Skyscraper Through the Years

Completed during the depths of the Great Depression, the Empire State Building has defined New York's skyline for 81 years. Now Empire State Realty Trust, which owns the building, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public stock offering that could value the company at $1 billion.
