First Flight

Orville Wright flies a Wright glider fitted with a Wright-designed 12hp engine at Kill Devil Hills, near Kitty Hawk, N.C. It was officially the first sustained, controlled flight by a heavier-than-air craft. Wilbur Wright runs alongside his brother.
