Friend Store Interior

Credit: fuseproject

Client: Friend

The client needed a low-cost interior design solution for their retail space, yet wanted to depart from the typical cold and austere interior and offer their customers a friendlier and more inviting atmosphere to shop. The back wall is faceted to create a fluid circulation in the space, and utilizes oak planks continued up from the floor planks. Shelves are interspersed at random intervals to provide unique display space. Throughout the space, a series of “nested” acrylic and oak display cases offer two opportunities for displaying merchandise. To involve the store within the creative community, the store’s back wall has been designated as an exhibit area, which will showcase murals by different artists, and change every quarter.
