Nokia 2650 Mobile Phone

Credit: Nokia

The key innovation of the Nokia 2650 mobile phone is its unique folding mechanism. The phone doesn’t use a hinge, like competitors’ models, resulting in a uniquely unified look in both the open and closed positions. Hard on the outside and soft on the inside, the 2650 is tough and durable when closed but opens to a soft, pillowed surface for the user’s face. The design of the 2650 embraces the qualities of balance, symmetry and simplicity, making it less of a high-tech, complicated device and more of a straightforward, useful product. In additional to its unique folding mechanism, the 2650 is also much simpler and less costly to manufacture than other folding phones.
