Mesh Networks
Mesh networks could come in handy for keeping tabs on what's happening in your company. Sensors in these networks pass information wirelessly to each other like a bucket brigade putting out a fire. Corporations can use these information networks to find out if equipment is overheating, or if a manufacturing line is starting to malfunction -- before these problems cause costly disruptions.
Case in point: Corvette's race team used Motorola's mesh network to help it win the American Le Mans series. The network's sensors monitored the car on the track and relayed the information to the pit crew.
