The Quotable Jim Cramer

The stock guru sounds off on how TV is the new radio, on journalism and running money, and on wearing a straightjacket

Jim Cramer seems to have a made-for-TV mug, which can go from livid to euphoric, from pallid to vermillion, on command. Mad Money's shooting style calls for gratuitous close-ups of his bobble-like head -- which sported a left-wing Afro in his Harvard days. Mention one of Cramer's stock blowups, and veins will bulge on his temples. Mention his daughters or his time at Goldman Sachs, and he'll coo like a baby.

Having gone from Harvard to homelessness to hedge-fund hell to reinvention as a media stock star, Cramer's résumé is almost as crazy as Forrest Gump's. The TV, Web, radio, and print personality straddles the fence between journalism and finance and has an opinion on everything. Just don't ask him about the Supreme Court. Here's a look at some of Cramer's thoughts on various subject, as expressed to BusinessWeek Wall Street Editor Roben Farzad.
