Before becoming the Bishop of Rome and Pope John Paul II, Karol Jozef Wojtyla was chauffeured in this car on a regular basis during the 1960s and 1970s. The FSO car company, the Volkswagon of communist Poland, licensed the Warszawa M20 design from the Russian GAZ car company. FSO folded in the mid-1990s and was acquired by Daewoo Motors. This M20 was Wojtyla's only privately owned car and is in "barn find" condition.
