Be Culture-Appropriate

Apple's Steve Jobs breaks many of life's rules, but he follows the most important one: Dress appropriately for the event or the culture. Apple has a rebellious, different, edgy culture, making his wardrobe of a black turtleneck, jeans, and sneakers entirely appropriate. A banker who shows up for a client meeting dressed like Jobs would lose credibility. Dress well -- and within expectations.
