Camel Theme
Zhou Tiehai
Roberts
Acrylic on canvas with airbrush, 2005
This painting is more than 9 feet by 6 feet and, like all of Zhoui's works, transposes the head of Joe Camel on classical Western paintings. Though he develops the concepts and provides rough sketches, most of the actual work is entrusted to assistants. But collectors don't mind. His paintings sell for as much as $100,000.
