Bad to the Bone
From gas-guzzling engines to extra-strength booze, consumers still crave products that do no good to their health, their environment, or their pocketbooks

In an effort to give consumers what they want, many companies are selling products that are known to be bad for your health. Hardee's—home of the 1,410-calorie hamburger—Web site probably expresses what many consumers think when purchasing these products: “No matter how you add it up, the bottom line is taste.” Whether it's an extra jolt of caffeine or a calorific burger, these are some of the products we love even if people say they aren't good for us.
