China may be the fabled factory of the world, but it is also home to a pack of rapidly emerging global brands. Here's a look at China's 20 strongest publicly traded brands, plus five more up-and-comers.
To get a sense of which Chinese products and services are really clicking with consumers, BusinessWeek teamed up with global consultancy Interbrand to identify the 20 strongest brands in the Middle Kingdom. Interbrand evaluates brands much the way securities analysts value assets: on the basis of how much they generate in profits and what they are likely to earn in the future. Here are the companies that made it into the winner's circle.
