Asia is the scene of a broad flowering in entrepreneurialism. The region's new class of business risk-takers are globally aware, Internet savvy, and willing to pounce on a smart idea even if it means grueling hours and considerable financial risk at a young age.

Earlier this year, BusinessWeek.com set out on a search to find the most interesting examples of this new breed in Asia. In late July, 2006, we asked readers to nominate standout entrepreneurs, 25 or younger, and a team of BusinessWeek.com editors narrowed the impressive list to a group of finalists who showed real promise of being future success stories. Then from Aug. 21 through Sept. 15, we offered readers a chance to vote for the finalists they found especially innovative or in some sense a standout.

The response was amazing. More than 170,000 readers checked out our special report, examined the profiles of our finalists, and cast their votes. It's time to open the envelope. Meet the five chosen by BusinessWeek.com readers as Asia's Best Entrepreneurs Under 25.
