Some companies strike ex-employees from the history books. Not Goldman Sachs, an investment bank that counts Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson among its alumni. With the help of SelectMinds, which specializes in corporate social networking, Goldman created its network to stay in touch with ex-workers, be it for cultivating business contacts or wooing candidates back to the firm. The network now boasts 9,150 members, about 22% of its 41,650 alumni.
