Snoopy got it right. The famous beagle may have spent most of his time on top of his doghouse, but close readers of the Peanuts strip will recall that in terms of size and swinging bachelor amenities the interior of the doghouse apparently rivaled the Playboy mansion. But such canine comforts are no longer found only in the funny pages. Today, pampered pooches around the country are living the high life in designer doghouses, decked out with amenities such as tile floors, air conditioning, TVs, and stereo systems, and are custom-made to complement their owners' homes.
