Then: Career Next Step, February, 2005
MBA students Mark Higgins and Conor Sibley won the 2005 University of Virginia Business Plan Contest, with leadership and management professor James Clawson and director of the UVA Darden Graduate School of Management Alumni Career Services, Herb Crowder. The group won for Career Next Step, an online career-development product that helps match students' interests, values, and ambitions with a career track, that was built on the system that Clawson and Crowder had offered to students and UVA alumni for over 25 years. The prize included $10,000 and free legal help, and the team was soon marketing the Career Next Step product to MBA programs, undergraduate universities, and corporations.
