Wal-Mart Goes Generic

Wal-Mart relieved some of the pressure from complaints over the wages and benefits offered to its employees when it announced a nationwide plan to offer some prescription generic drugs for $4. The company says the campaign will contribute to lowering the cost of health care in the U.S. Getting maximum exposure for the plan, Wal-Mart rolled out the program over the course of several months, adding a few states at a time. Earlier in the year, the company also improved the health benefits plans offered to employees.
