Clipper Airship

Seymourpowell exploratory project
2006

This exploratory project was self-funded by Seymourpowell. The conceptual look at airships was nicknamed “Clipper in the Clouds” and was imagined as an ocean liner for the skies. Intended to work as a luxury hotel, the design includes 55 suites (with en-suite bathrooms, of course) spread over 12 floors. A restaurant seats 110 people and is connected to the bar by a three-story-tall open space. A huge spiral staircase leads to a promenade deck that's as big as a soccer field. The main source of power is hydrogen, creating a silent, pollution-free travel experience.
