7. Property ownership
Though her empire may no longer be what it once was, the Queen of England remains, by a whopping margin, the largest property owner in the world. Indeed, it's a relatively recent and revolutionary idea to let individuals buy, sell, and trade land. Once people own their own homes they work very hard to make them better…then crime goes down, schools improve, and the local economy grows.
