The OAN includes more than just architectural solutions for humanitarian disasters. Brooklyn (N.Y.)-based super-interesting LLC designed the in(out)side house as a competition entry for a site in Atlanta. Initially planned as an affordable, green, single-family house in a typical urban lot, the plan incorporates structural-insulated-panel construction, cross-ventilation, and photovoltaics (solar panels), as well as a planted exterior screen on the ground floor that creates "inside/outside" spaces for summertime recreation and a temperature buffer in winter.
