Some recruiters at mortgage lender Countrywide Financial use ZoomInfo, a search engine that lists more than 34 million business professionals and 2 million companies. The search engine uses Semantic Web tools to find and interpret information from millions of online sources, such as Web sites, electronic news services, and Securities & Exchange Commission filings. It’s useful for identifying midlevel managers or professionals who might be interested in joining another firm, says Alan Bogard, manager of recruitment for Countrywide Financial’s Full Spectrum Lending Division.
