Concrete Canvas
Concrete canvas is an innovative approach to providing shelter to people in disaster areas. The canvas tents traditionally used in these situations have many problems: They're often unsuitable for brutal weather conditions or for preventing the spread of disease. Concrete canvas provides a hard shelter that can withstand the elements and be kept sterile. Also known as a “building in a bag,” the material takes 24 hours to become a solid, sterile structure. “Designs like this will change the world,” said Simon Waterfall, a juror and deputy president of D&AD and creative director of new media agency, Poke.
