This is an example of Scottrade's new Smart Text feature, one of the educational tools that Scottrade provides to account holders. Smart Text accompanies a technical chart such as this one showing a "Bollinger band" for Google's recent trading history, and explains in layman's language what the chart means and how to use that information to inform trading decisions.
