Cutting-Edge Design
Boreas
Joachim Hahn-Heinze
Boreas, also created in collaboration with Volkswagen design in Wolfsburg, is a racing car for especially extreme rally races with difficult track courses. Using modern technologies in the drive and the chassis area enables the use of kinetic energy to be generated when the car is driven. The energy is then transferred to electric power and fed back through the electrical system of the car.
The chassis and the sculpted body are optically separated from each other. While the chassis is designed for extreme driving manoeuvres, the conception of the shape of the body outlines the powers acting on it.
Designed in a purist way, the interior is assigned to give the driver the best possible control and protection.
