Beach Sailor

Richard Hommel

Beach Sailor is a three-wheeled sailing concept created with an asymmetrical body. Since wind causes the sail to switch between the left and right sides of the vehicle symmetry is never present. In this concept, the pilot sits in a kind of cocoon that is carried by a surface running from the front to the right through the length of the vehicle. The interior works like an exoskeleton, allowing the pilot to fight against the wind. Fabricated using fibreglass materials, the Beach sailor should prove to be the perfect material to maximize stability and lightweight.
