Global, but Not Globally Known

The world's largest maker of air conditioners by sales volume, Gree has built up a sales and service network spanning more than 100 countries. The company's revenues were $3.1 billion in 2006, with close to a third coming from overseas. Earnings were $84 million. Some 3% of those surveyed recognized Gree as a global brand.
