Then:
Annoyed by long lines for fast food and coffee, Glass in 2005 launched GoMobo, a service for placing orders via mobile phone. Last year, GoMobo gained traction in its beta market of New York, helping hungry office workers skip the wait at popular chains such as McDonald's (MCD) and Dunkin' Donuts.
Now:
Glass admits 2007 revenues will be "far below" the $1.8 million he forecasted when we talked to him last year. But his service is now used in about 100 restaurants in New York, and by the end of 2008 he expects to add 500 more in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Miami—and generate $2.2 million in revenues. By 2010, GoMobo could be a $50 million company in 3,500 locations around the country, Glass says.
