On being an entrepreneur: "I was always passionate about gaming and soon converted this passion into a full-time career and started Indiagames, then an online gaming company in 1999. The company changed its business model during the dot-com bust and decided to venture into the mobile gaming space. The key challenge at that time was mobile-phone usage in India was yet to take off in a big way and GPRS connections were few and far between. In order to reduce our dependency on the Indian market and outsourcing, we adopted a products rather than a services model and acquired mobile gaming licenses for major Hollywood brands like Spider-Man, Jurassic Park, Predator, Bruce Lee, The Scorpion King series, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, among others, to make our presence felt among international telco operators who were key to distributing these games."
