Rincon has produced more than 30 complex recombinant proteins and antibodies with its patented AlgRx system, which is based on technology developed at Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, Calif. Green algae doubles its cell count in eight hours, significantly lessening the time required to generate results compared with conventional protein-production methods.
