Manifest Design

Architects Rossanu Hu and Lyndon Neri opened Design Republic, an ultra-luxury retail shop that aims at helping China's nouveaux riches learn about global design. The store showcases such superstars as Tom Dixon and Marcel Wanders in a refitted colonial building on Shanghai's fashionable Bund. It also publishes its own quarterly magazine called Design Manifesto, which covers everything from the annual Salone de Mobile in Milan to in-depth interviews with designers.
