Face Time

Lenovo Veriface technology

Most consumers come up with easy-to-guess PC passwords and then fail to protect them well. Lenovo, the Chinese PC maker that bought IBM's (IBM) computer business, is jumping into the consumer market with three jazzy laptops that use consumers' faces as their passwords. It's a nifty bit of technology, taking advantage of the laptops' built-in video camera, which creates a digital map of each user's face.
