To cater to its road warriors, Hertz is rolling out self-serve kiosks so that customers can pick up their car rental in the same way they print up their airline boarding passes. The car rental company is also working on a system using RFID technology so customers in a rush can drop off rental cars without having to wait for a live agent.  To compete with the likes of Zipcar, Hertz introduced hourly car rentals in 2007.
