Mercedes-Benz hasn’t said whether it will ever replace the two original Maybach models, now 6 years old, or reinforce them with additional, all-new models. There is a new body style for the long-wheelbase Maybach 62, the Maybach Landaulet, with a convertible top over the rear seats. A spokesman said the company has several advance orders from U.S. buyers, but expects to deliver only one Landaulet in the United States this year. Even at $1.35 million each, numbers like that make Maybach an expensive hobby for Mercedes-Benz.
