Twitter users learned within minutes of the May 12 earthquake in China, quickly spreading the news to fellow users. "I reported the major quake to my followers on Twitter before the [U.S. Geological Survey] Web site had a report up and about an hour before CNN or major press started talking about it," boasts blogger Robert Scoble.
