Founder Nick Oliva created whereIstand.com, still in test mode, to help users define themselves through their opinions. Some 1,000 members of the site have posted 46,000 opinions on more than 1,000 issues, from whether Cindy McCain should release her tax return to whether arts programs are essential to elementary education. Using special tools, users can easily compare their opinions with those of other people in their network, or with those of celebrities, such as Presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.).
