Autodesk, a maker of engineering and architecture software, will open a new "customer briefing center" on Market Street, where about 275 Autodeskers currently work. The new center, due to open in September, aims to showcase the importance of design, Autodesk says. The company has had a beachhead in San Francisco since 2001.
