In recent years, Denver has made concerted efforts to establish itself as the region's major cultural hub. Besides expanding its various museums and installing works of public art throughout the city, officials are also pushing a sustainable-design agenda, with a 2007 Climate Action Plan requiring new constructions to attain LEED Silver status.
