Microsoft Discovers the Internet

Netscape is by far the leading Web browser, and with the explosive growth of the Internet, Gates and Microsoft decide to enter the fray. At first, its Internet Explorer is an also-ran to Netscape. But that changes with the popularity of Windows 95. The operating system is bundled with the browser and gains share fast, soon becoming the market leader and crushing Netscape.
