Cy Twombly: Cycles and Seasons
June 19 – Sept. 14
This is the first major exhibition in 15 years of work by the artist Cy Twombly, who celebrates his 80th birthday this year. Best known for his blurring of the lines between drawing and painting, Twombly's work is identifiable by the calligraphy-style graffiti he scribbles on his paintings. The exhibition is structured around key moments in his career from the 1950s to the present, interspersing series of his paintings with more intimate rooms devoted to his drawings and sculpture.
