Frida Kahlo June 14 – Sept. 28

An early 20th-century Mexican surrealist painter known best for her brutal self-portraits and her famously volatile marriage to fellow painter Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo gained international prominence in the 1970s, decades after her death. The exhibition includes particular portraits and still-life paintings that amplify her sense of identity, including approximately 50 paintings from the beginning of Kahlo's career in 1926 to her death in 1954. Additionally, the exhibition features photographs once belonging to Kahlo and Diego Rivera that have never been published or exhibited.
