In fall 2008, Wal-Mart Stores (WMT) will bear a new logo replacing the previous blocky letters and pointy star. The update includes lowercase letters and a rounder symbol suggesting the sun or flower petals. Wal-Mart says the new logo "refreshes" the old one and reflects the ongoing "evolution" of the company. It remains to be seen how customers will respond.
