Sports teams are more popular than ever for the über-rich. The list includes former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who snapped up English soccer team Manchester City; billionaire high-tech entrepreneur Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks; and paper and packaging tycoon Robert Kraft, who owns the highly profitable New England Patriots NFL franchise. Another former Prime Minister, Italian media giant Silvio Berlusconi, has owned soccer club AC Milan since 1986.
