Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen has joined the ranks of owners of private jets by plunking down $50 million for a Gulfstream G550 in June 2008. The high-flying glamour girl isn't alone. According to the Merrill Lynch-Capgemini World Wealth Report 2008, foreign buyers now purchase more private jets than North Americans. Other jet owners include Oprah Winfrey, who bought herself a Bombardier Global Express XRS in 2006 costing somewhere around $40 million.
