Gasoline prices jumped to more than $4 a gallon this spring and consumers are wondering if they'll ever retreat. To make matters worse, petroleum-based products that we use every day, such as plastic bags and diapers, are also rising in price. This will result in even bigger holes in consumers' wallets.
