Like many of its competitors, the Neuberger Berman Socially Responsible Investments fund avoids investment in companies that profit significantly from tobacco, alcohol, weapons, and gambling sales. The fund also seeks out companies that display some degree of social leadership, whether it be in labor, community investment, or fostering diversity in the workplace.

Strategy: The Neuberger Berman Socially Responsible Investments fund is made up of common stock from companies with a market cap of at least $3 billion. The fund is not diverse. So, while it may be able to take a larger position on an issue, there is a potentially greater exposure to risk than in other offerings.
