Next in Line for Takeoff

The Airbus A380 will start its first regular service to the U.S. on Aug. 1, when Emirates Airline begins flying the megaplane between Dubai and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Service to the West Coast is to start in the fall, with flights to Los Angeles by Australian carrier Qantas. Early next year, San Francisco will be added to the A380 route map of Singapore Airlines, which is already flying the plane to Europe and Asia.
