A Boeing Stalwart

Boeing’s 777, including the extended-range 777-300 model shown here, has been a strong performer since entering service in 1995, racking up more than 1,000 orders. With larger versions carrying as many as 365 passengers, the widebody has been used by some airlines to replace aging Boeing 747s. In the future, it faces competition from Airbus’s new A350, and from Boeing’s own 787.
