The Chrysler 300, like the PT Cruiser, turned heads when it was new, but it's due for an update. The 300 was all-new in 2004 for the 2005 model year, marking Chrysler's return to rear-wheel drive and the revival of the V-8 Hemi muscle-car engine. With the base six-cylinder engine, it gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. With the optional V-8, which can shut off half the cylinders while cruising, it gets 15 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.
