This outdoor light totem collects solar power during the day to illuminate the night. It also uses remote lighting control technology: The light source is at the totem’s base, and light is transmitted to the top via fiberoptic cables. Light beams can be focused, meaning that one light can illuminate different locations, thus enabling precision lighting on dark streets. This design was also awarded a Silver IDEA.
